Data controller
The data controller is Société Africaine de Transports (SAT Congo), Avenue du Havre, BP 4293, Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo. Privacy requests may be sent to secretariat@sat-congo.com.
Data we collect
Depending on the service used, SAT Congo may collect identity and contact details, company and service information, quotation or contact messages, residence details, professional experience, CVs, cover letters, consent records, email verification information and technical data such as IP address, browser, device, dates, security logs and necessary cookies.
Purposes and legal grounds
Data is used to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, manage business relationships, verify an email address, process job applications, protect the website, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend rights. Processing is based, as applicable, on consent, pre-contractual measures, performance of a relationship, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or legal obligations.
Job applications
The application form verifies the candidate’s email address before documents can be submitted. No candidate profile is created or stored as a user account on the website. Application information and attachments are transmitted by email to authorised recruitment staff. Technical data required to complete verification and transmission may be retained temporarily for security and delivery purposes.
Recipients and service providers
Data is accessible only to authorised SAT Congo departments and, where required, to providers acting for website hosting, maintenance, email delivery or security. These providers include Hostinger for hosting and ARC WEB CONCEPT LLC for technical administration. They receive only the data needed for their assigned tasks.
International processing
Some technical providers may process data outside the Republic of the Congo, including in the European Union or the United States. SAT Congo seeks to use appropriate contractual, organisational and technical safeguards according to the applicable requirements and the nature of the processing.
Retention periods
Data is kept only as long as necessary for the relevant purpose and applicable legal obligations. Contact and quotation records may be retained for the duration of the relationship and related limitation periods. Unsuccessful application records should not normally be retained for more than 24 months without renewed consent or a legal requirement. Security logs and email verification data are retained for a limited technical period.
Cookies
The website may use cookies strictly necessary for WordPress, security, language selection and form operation. Any optional analytics, advertising or third-party cookies should be activated only in accordance with applicable consent requirements. Browser settings can be used to remove or block cookies, although some functions may then be unavailable.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and request data portability where applicable. Requests should identify the person sufficiently to prevent unauthorised disclosure and may be sent to secretariat@sat-congo.com.
Security and changes
SAT Congo applies reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. This Policy may be updated when services, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date are published on this page.
