Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Coordination of all aspects of freight expedition.
• Develop freight activities.
• Files monitoring.
• Follow-up of invoices according to Purchase Orders.
• Coordinating shipments with carriers for assigned shipping customers
• Developing carriers and negotiating freight rates
• Monitoring shipments to ensure on time pickups and deliveries
• Managing requirements of both shipper and transport provider
• Maintaining proper schedules for on-time delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) or more
• 3 to 5 years of current work experience in freight forwarding.

Skills and Requirements :

• Strong Understanding of Import/Export regulations, documents and procedures.
• Knowledge of the air and sea freight sector, transport, transit, and Shipping.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual (French-English).
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word..).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet set deadlines, establish priorities and multi-task in an organized manner.
• Knowledge of the terms of transit and customs tariffs, stevedores.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
